Tushar bluemat penstemon
Penstemon xylus

Tushar bluemat penstemon is a tough and tiny penstemon native to Utah's Tushar Mountains. It has pink-lavender flowers from June to July and steel-blue, nearly evergreen foliage. It's happy in gritty soils, full sun and xeric conditions. Its size makes it ideal for rock, trough or crevice gardens, and the evergreen foliage is an added bonus!
Tips from the pros: This penstemon needs well-drained soil. For a low-growing penstemon that's more tolerant of clay, check out WAGGON WHEEL® bluemat penstemon.
