WAGGON WHEEL® bluemat penstemon grows in circular, evergreen mats, earning its name WAGGON WHEEL®. This charming, low growing penstemon has tiny, spoon-like leaves that sprout on prostrate stems. Small, tubular flowers glow blue to lavender from early June to July.
Native to mountainous areas in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and Arizona, this attractive penstemon prefers well-drained soil, but is adaptable to clay loam conditions. It does not like to be over-watered, making it perfect for waterwise gardens!
