Erigeron formosissimus ‘P022S\' | RAMBLER mountain fleabane in naturalistic and formal gardens | Plant Select
RAMBLERTM mountain fleabane looks right at home in both formal and naturalistic landscapes. This pollinator-friendly wildflower is native to eight western states, so it fits in with western natives or regionally-adapted plants in borders, pollinator gardens and rock gardens. Cheerful, lavender flowers appear in May and June over grassy leaves. It's quite adaptable, so plant it in sun or partial shade in nearly any soil—as long as it drains. Drought tolerant once established.

Thanks to Mike Kintgen, Curator of Alpine Collections at Denver Botanic Gardens, for selecting RAMBLERTM mountain fleabane for its short stature and ability to grow in elevations up to 13,000 feet!

Pro tips:
  • Prefers well-drained soils with some organic matter.
  • Regular watering is needed during periods of prolonged drought or extreme heat.
  • Water deeply but infrequently for deep roots.
