Denver Botanic Gardens is one of Plant Select’s core partners—and has been since they co-founded Plant Select in the 1990s.

The Gardens seeks to educate, entertain and transform the way people think about and engage with the environment. They do that through a diverse set of initiatives—from food programs, to art, to water stewardship and global horticultural research. And sometimes, it’s simply inviting people into the wonder of beautiful gardens appropriate for a semi-arid climate.

Plant Select is proud to be an outreach arm for The Garden’s commitment to sustainable plants and water conservation.

David Salman, founder of High Country Gardens, was one of the earliest supporters and contributors to the Plant Select program. His native plants from the Southwest were among the first plants introduced by Plant Select, including SUNSET® hyssop (Agastache rupestris).

We are thrilled that High Country Gardens has carried on David’s legacy with such vigor.
